I’ve reached my second weight loss target!

Current weight 14st 6lb

I never believed I could do it so quickly while continuing to eat normally but I have lost another ten pounds since my first target. Why is 14st 6lb so significant I hear you ask? Because this is the weight that I was when I first moved away to university. 14st 6lb… this is the lightest I have been for eight years. Now everybody is noticing the weight loss. I look better, I feel better and I’m determined to keep going until I reach my ultimate target weight.

I was hoping to have reached 14st 6lb by Christmas but have managed it with 12 weeks to spare. Overly-cautious, moi? I know from here that weight loss tends to slow down a bit so if I can lose one more stone before Christmas, I will be happy. Though my next target weight is 13st 10lb… I haven’t been that light for ten years.

As anybody who has lost a lot of weight will know, there is really only one drawback to this and that is clothes. They don’t fit any more. Now, for a woman I guess that is not a problem – any excuse to go shopping right girls? But for a man who only buys stuff when he needs it, it means I have donated or simply thrown away a lot of clothes in a short space of time that are no good to me any more (I have no intention that they will ever fit me again) and I have had to buy more… conscious of the fact that the new clothes I am buying might also be too big for me come the new year.
