First Kiss

In the instant you know it is about to happen, everything and everyone else around you fades. Nothing else matters and you feel the two of you are alone in the universe. In the instant that you move forward to lock lips, time appears to slow to a trickle. It is as though the universe itself is savouring the moment with you.

There are butterflies in the stomach, your head is a mix of emotions and your heart is pounding yet it seems the most natural thing to do.

Lips meet and there is the feeling of real electricity between you. That first tentative tingling touch of moist skin on moist skin – fumbling at first before finding mutual rhythm. You’ve wanted this so much – haven’t you – to know what their lips feel like against yours…

Arms embrace. An age passes – yet this age could be as little as five seconds.

And then finally you break…

The world returns to a sharp focus…

Life seems that much more sublime, and the person you have just shared that brief moment of intimacy with is the most beautiful creature you’ve ever met. And as you look into their eyes, you see them sparkle.

You smile at each other and everything seems right with the world.

    1. Thank you. It came naturally in the end, despite me feeling a little nervous about doing it. I wrapped my arms around her in a good night hug, thought to myself “ok, just go for it” and leaned in. It felt wonderful 🙂

She must have known it was coming, earlier that night I told her she had very kissable lips. Naturally, she went bright red.
